Prometheus supports ADNOC Group's Habshan Gas Expansion Project through the upcoming supply of 42 flexible fire-protection jackets (ProFlex)
Prometheus, in collaboration with Starline Automation, assists ADNOC Group’s Habshan Gas Processing Complex expansion in Al Gharbia, Abu Dhabi through the supply of a custom-designed solution of flexible fire-protection jackets (ProFlex), set for delivery by the end of the current month.
As the client required a very swift process, only five weeks have passed from order to delivery, and the design was completed in record time.
Led by Petrofac’s engineering expertise, this project is a cornerstone of ADNOC Group’s strategy to advance UAE’s energy security. Under a $700-million EPC contract awarded to Petrofac Emirates, the expansion at Habshan will feature a new gas compression plant equipped with three compressor trains, supported by extensive utilities and power systems.
Prometheus Group’a ProFlex fire-protection jackets meet the stringent requirements of ADNOC Group’s gas infrastructure, providing reliable protection for the processing facilities.
This initiative aligns with ADNOC Group's In-Country Value (ICV) program, reinforcing the UAE’s economy through substantial local reinvestment.
Anticipated to commence operations in 2024, the Habshan expansion is integral to ADNOC Group’s Gas Development Expansion Phase 2 (IGD-E2) and Project 5.0, aiming to elevate gas processing capacity to 1.97 billion cubic feet per day.
This expansion marks a significant step toward the UAE’s goal of energy independence and a sustainable domestic gas supply.
